Camp Adventure is an organisation founded by Jan Vieth in 2002.

He has a nine year long experience in Canadian, American and Australian summer camps as  a certified youth counsellor.

The purpose of Camp Adventure is to combine the positive aspects of German  holidays with those of  Canadian summer camps in order to allow children and youths from all over the world  to spend  adventurous  and thrilling vacation in an international atmosphere with the highest   US and Canadian security standards.

Camp philosophy is based on the idea that the campers and teamers together feel responsible and cooperate  in a spirit of mutual respect and understanding.

Together with our partners, like the Jugendbegegnungsstätte Lensterstrand oft he Kreissportverband Neumünster e.V. and the „Surfschule Grömitz“ we are organizing our Beachcamp and parts of the camp program. Therefore we can offer camp holidays, which are very special and unique: Learning English in combination with windsurfing and much time and space for fun, action and personal development.

In the Beachcamp, Camp Adventure cooperates with the Surf School Grömitz, founded in 1979, which is member of the German Association of Windsurfing and Watersports (VDWS). The school is located next to the camp directly on the beach in front of the marina of Grömitz. Experienced surf coaches help to experience the surfing in its best ways.

E@C is a project of Camp Adventure. With our office in Ottawa (www.campeurope.ca) we recruit native english speaking teamers for our camps in Europe.

We want to motivate kids to communicate in a foreign language through an international surrounding and atmosphere in our camps. The campers learn English through the communication with the teamers and further with other camp participants, when playing games, drama, doing sports or other activities together.

They learn the language in a very active and fun way instead of “only” studying grammar or vocabularies. From our experiences we know that this method helps to motivate especially weak kids to communicate in a foreign language.

Learning another language should be fun for the kids, but nevertheless challenging! This enhances their personal development and their intellectual and social skills. Our English classes include children of different age groups and with different competences, as in mixed groups the meaning of tolerance, respect and acceptance is shown best.
